Kevin Bacon, actor, takes a fancy to a

marble statuette of a nude youth from Lake Nemi, Italy, late 2nd - 1st century BC

from one of the Museum's storerooms.
March 8, 1997

"This wonderful marble statue reminds me of my character in Murder One. That was one of my favorite roles. I loved the posture: I was all bent down with one shoulder up and one shoulder down with my legs crossed. This figure really captures the feeling I had playing that part. I wish you could find the head of the statue for me."
