Georges Perrier, renowned chef,
shows his extreme good taste
by selecting a

wooden beer cup from the sun temple at Pachacamac on the central coast of Peru, dating to AD 1450 - 1550

"Ooh la la! There are so many beautiful things to choose, it is difficult. Because I am a restaurateur these small pots depicting food are my favorites. The wooden beer cup is a beautiful design and the color, after so many years, is still strong. I particularly like this one with the sculpture of a face. I think I should do as they did, take it in my two hands and offer it to God and then drink the beer. I wish I had been living in this period. If I were an artist I would be inspired by these wonderful objects. I am working on my new menu this afternoon. I think that this visit will inspire me to create some new dishes!"
