The Black Sea Trade Project team would like to thank the Turkish General Directorate for Monuments and Museums for permission to carry out this research in 1996-1999. Warm thanks are extended to Cevdet Sevinc of the Denizli Museum, Elmas Kaya of the Trabzon Museum, Sena Mutlu, Anatolian Civilizations Museum and Nurhan Turan, General Directorate of Monuments and Museums, our Representatives from the Turkish Ministry of Culture for 1996 - 1999 respectively (see above). All of them showed keen interest and offered assistance far exceeding the call of duty.
