As you probably know, the Museum is about archaeology
and anthropology--the study of the world's cultures,
past and present. In other words, it's about people, and the interesting
things people have done, are doing...and will do. |

Here's a fact that no self-respecting 10-year-old doesn't know (do
you know it?)...
When the ancient Egyptians mummified the dead to prepare them for
the afterlife, they removed and mummified four internal organs—the
liver, lungs, stomach and the intestines. They placed these organs
in special containers called canopic jars to save them for eternity.
They kept the heart in the body...and what did they do with the
brain?
