"Adornable You"

Objects of personal adornment from various cultures, selected from dealers in the Show

Personal adornment is universal, timeless, and always intriguing. In every culture people adorn themselves from head to toe, expressing beauty and status, with objects that create an individual’s unique “look.” These adornments also encourage us to learn about other traditions.

“Adornable You” presents headdresses, jewelry, robes and ceremonial dress from a variety of traditional cultures, displayed on mannequins graciously provided by Saks Fifth Avenue and Sophy Curson. We invite you to select and collect. A wise choice today can become a classic tomorrow, to be enjoyed forever.

Hope Makler has served as coordinator of “Adornable You.” She is co-owner of the Makler Gallery and a member of the Women’s Committee.
