The Final Stage: The Newly Reconstructed "Ram" in the Thicket"

By the end of April 1998, the new restoration
of the Philadelphia "Ram" was complete.
The statue was strengthened and supported,
and the gold gleamed with a new luster.
It was ready to travel!

Before Restoration
the hooves hang in mid-air
and the ram has a very upright,
almost backward-leaning posture

After Restoration
the hooves now rest on
the branches and the ram has
a more forward-leaning posture
