October 6 Saturday, 10am-Noon Family Workshop Golden Opportunity	Families are welcome to partake of this golden opportunity to tour the River of Gold exhibition, featuring a dazzling array of golden ornaments, embossed plaques and pendants, as well as original 1940 footage of Penn Museum archaeologists excavating the Precolumbian treasures in Panama. You’ll follow up your “expedition” by creating some golden jewelry of your own— pendants, beaded necklaces, or even a plaque to serve as your family emblem—from an assortment of mixed-media materials.  Craft recommended for ages 7 and above.  $10 per person ($5 per member) includes materials fee and museum admission donation. Pre-registration recommended (drop-ins welcome while supplies last): 215/898-4016.
October 27 Saturday, 1:30pm Gallery Tour River of Gold	Museum docent-led tour of the new exhibition leaves from the Trescher Main Entrance. *FREE* with Museum admission donation.
