For more than 120 years, the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology has advanced understanding of the world’s cultural heritage through its research, collections, discoveries, and dissemination of new knowledge. We are proud of the history we have been making, and so we should be: numerous history books telling the stories of the world’s great cultures have been modified or re-written after many of the discoveries made by our researchers in the field and in our conservation and scientific laboratories.
