Other highlights include samples of the first writing in the world, on view in the Mesopotamian gallery, faces modeled on ancient clay coffin lids from the Bible Lands, and beautiful materials from Alaska, the American Southwest, Africa, Asia, Polynesia, and more. There are three shops (one for children!) and a glass-enclosed Museum Café overlooking the inner gardens.
