Description | From open vessel, decorated on both surfaces. Two designs are entirely rectilinear except for two curved hooks on exterior. On exterior are groups of parallel lines in an arrangement which suggests a checkerboard pattern. Reddish buff, substantial (tho not heavy) clay. The surface has fired a strong red on exterior, paler on the interior. The rim is merely the finished termination of the wall. |
