PHILADELPHIA, November 7, 2024—Kids under 17 get free admission during Winter Break, Thursday, December 26-Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Penn Museum. All Winter Break activities are included with Museum admission.

Guests of all ages can make their own winter-themed suncatcher in the Asia Galleries, play an ancient board game like Mancala in the Sphinx Gallery, enjoy a "pop-up" talk about one artifact, or participate in an interactive drumming workshop led by percussionist Joseph Tayoun. Each day at noon, visitors can stop by the Cookie Zone for a free treat while supplies last.

In addition, visitors can take a "hands on" approach to exploring history—with touchable artifact replicas on view at Cartifacts stations located in select galleries throughout the Museum.

"We know that early exposure to things like science, art, and history impact kids throughout their lifetimes," explains Allison Krisch, Assistant Director for Family & Camp Programs at the Penn Museum. "For families who want to enhance their holiday experience, the Penn Museum offers a global adventure—shining the light on cultures from around the world—all in one afternoon and right here in Philadelphia."

The full line-up of activities and tickets for Winter Break are available here.
